The Golden Crown Hotel is a 5-star hotel located in Ampitya, Kandy, Srilanka. Set amidst lush paddy fields surrounded by lush greens, the property is just 10-minute drive away from the famous Temple of the Tooth Relic. The location was nice with great views, the pool was mesmerizing, the staff were very nice, everything was clean! We had a taxi driver provided by the hotel drive ua around the different locations and attractions, for a very reasonable price, and he was very kind and knowledgeable!

We were warmly welcomed with a traditional drum & song routine performed by the wonderful staff. The room was so comfortable, had everything we needed and a full mini bar included in the rate. The hotel facilities were great and absolutely spotless. The food was exceptional and the service outstanding. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to friends & family.

I booked a room and there were two other rooms scheduled to arrived but did not show up. Ended up having the entire place to myself, the service from the staff was amazing and personal. Photos do not do this place justice, I'd give it a 20/10 if I could. Atmosphere felt so romantic me and my then girlfriend (now Fiancee) got engaged there.

The team at the house went above and beyond to make sure our stay was unforgettable! The attention to detail and warm hospitality truly made our experience exceptional. At the hotel, each room is equipped with a desk, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. Amazing guest house. Very kind and caring family running it. Has a lovely family atmosphere. I fell sick during my stay, getting admitted to hospital for 2 nights. They took care of me the whole time, bringing me 3 meals a day, everything else that I needed out of their own kindness. Cannot thank them enough. Food is amazing, tasty and huge portion sizes, you will never go hungry! Thankyou so much!

Our guided walk to the waterfall was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Every detail was flawless—this is why it’s a perfect 10 from us.
