This is a special place with so much history. It was the warmest welcome we received in New Zealand from our excellent hosts. This is an ideal place to stay for joining a boat trip to Doubtful Sound (5 minutes walk away) or a short drive to Te Anau.

The room was perfect for what we needed and it was lovely to find that they had left milk for us in the room. We originally were supposed to stay two nights but had to change our booking very last minute due to issues with our flight. Mel and Mark were incredibly accommodating and made everything really easy. I'd highly recommend this place if you're exploring Te Anau and the surrounding area!

The outlook was beautiful & the property was well located. There was a beautiful outdoor area and the interior design was made you feel welcome & at home. The host made you feel very welcome & shared her knowledge of the area.

Good location walkable to shops, restaurants and bars, room was spacious clean and fully equipped. Parking right outside of the room. For Milford sound there is free parking on Deepwater basin road on the left as you turn in, paid parking is $10 an hour.

Te Anau Top 10 Holiday Park and Motels are 2 minutes’ walk from Te Anau’s restaurants, bars and shops.
