What an amazing, all inclusive safari experience in the Timbimvati Private Game Reserve just outside Kruger near Hoedspruit. Small camp with only 9 tents (18 people) made very personal. Great service . Lovely little pool to cool off in, Green grounds. Amazing game drives with very experienced and informative guides Lovely boma dinner. Don't hesitate to book, you will not be disappointed.

Simbavati is a magnificent place. So quiet, scenic and luxurious. Brett and the team are an amazing bunch and took care of us as guests so well. We received the same hospitality that was afforded to international tourists which is refreshing. The tents are clean, comfortable and the outside shower is wonderful. The deck with private daybed overlooking the dam is so peaceful and relaxing. The food is tasty and personal service is attentive. The game drives we had with Josia and Derreck were undoubtedly the best safari experience we've had. We saw the big 5, and much more. As an overall package, the experience was well worth it and exceeded our expectations.

There is so much to tell! From the minute Sly fetched us from the airport our amazing South African holiday started, we were blessed with so many animals and a lovely tour by Sly to the facility. We received a warm welcome and our rooms (villa) awaited our arrival, at first we were worried that we booked a place with no AC but the fans are more than enough. I was even "cold" the one night. Katie, Phumzile and Jefferey made each day memorable. We booked a trip to the Panorama Route with Sly and it was just perfect, great company, chats along the way, shopping, sightseeing the works. They also booked our Kruger trip - so memorable! Phelwana actually have enough animals on site that you can enjoy via their bush walks at 7am and or their afternoon drives at 5pm, it was baby season so we saw so many little ones from baby zebra, giraffe, nyala and water buffalo. The food was really great as well. I don't think there was anything missing. The wifi can be a bit iffy but you are in the bush it is to be expected. We had some traffic issues from the local giraffe :P so cute but a quick call to the reception and someone would fetch us safely. If I had to pick one item it would to request more vegetarian opinions like tofu but honestly we ate well! We loved our stay and everyone there made it so special, they even decorated our breakfast table and arranged a cake for my birthday!

We liked everything about our stay. The room was phenomenal, clean and with a beautiful view over the bush. The food cooked by Walther was delicious, it felt like dining in a good restaurant. Phindy was very welcoming and served & helped us with a smile. And Annie is the best host we ever had. She went above and beyond to give us the best possible experience, with many tips and recommendations, even for the rest of our trip. She also arranged a wonderful game drive through Manyeleti and an exciting bush walk in Guernsey. I don’t often write reviews but this was such a 5 star experience that I want to recommend it to anyone traveling to the area.
