Set in park-like grounds on the shores of Lake Te Anau, 5 minutes' walk from the town centre, Te Anau Lakefront Backpackers has both mountain and lake views from the majority of the rooms. Location, spectacular views and cleanliness. Easy checkin even though we arrived after midnight due to cancelled flights.

Located opposite the shores of Lake Te Anau, Te Anau Lakeview Holiday Park & Motels offers BBQ's, a spa (spa is open from 1st October to 30th April & closed from 1st May to 30th September) and a children's playground. The showers were the best I had in all of NZ. Staff is helpful. Garbage and recycling on site. Enormous kitchens, dining tables indoors and out. Really great holiday park

The place is amazing! It is so clean and comfy, surrounded by nature, and the check-in was easy, even late at night. I definitely want to visit again!

It was clean, neat and all that you need are provided, you could see the stars at night comfortably. It is a tiny home, so large luggages should maybe be kept out or in the car and bring only essentials for the days booked in. It is very near to town and because of easy check-in and check-out procedures, we were able to leave in the early morning without much hassle, to milford sound. Water pressure and temperature were easy to control, the bed was comfortable. Had no issues whatsoever. He was also kind enough to accommodate us when we requested for an earlier check in. The drawback would be no wifi. BUT that is the point of staying with Tiny Away. Very much enjoyed our stay.
