Staying at Jägerhof in Saas Fee was truly outstanding. Upon arriving at the bus station, I called the hotel, and the owner himself came to pick us up, which set the tone for a warm, personalized experience. Once we reached the hotel, he took the time to explain everything about Saas Fee, highlighting activities and must-see spots. We were handed the key to our suite on the 4th floor, complete with a balcony and a breathtaking view of the mountains. The overall atmosphere felt like staying with family, as we shared stories and cultural insights, discovering similarities in our backgrounds. They offer breakfast and dinner daily, and on the evening we dined, they went the extra mile to provide halal/kosher options, which added a special touch of hospitality that we deeply appreciated. The room was cozy, clean, and comfortable. We were fortunate to experience both a late summer ambiance and snowfall during our stay, which added a magical touch. Although we came to ski and their ski-in, ski-out feature wasn’t ready due to limited snow, the natural beauty and warmth of the hotel more than made up for it. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel like we had a second family in Saas Fee. We’re already looking forward to visiting again, perhaps in the summer season.

End of Saastal, before the climb to Stausee Mattmark lake. Charming traditional pension, with a wonderful host, Corinna. Excellent breakfast, great room with a sunny side balcony, hard mattress, wifi strong and steady. And a very reasonable price for the region. Just continue. Parking and bus stop, so car is not mandatory from Visp.

I wanted a place near Stalden which would give me access to Saas valley/Zermat/Zinal. I had long day activities planned which meant I was returning late. The fact that there is a gas station/grocery store nearby that closes at 21 is a huge bonus. The room was clean. Although bathroom was shared I never waited for someone. Kitchen is well equiped but I never cooked as grocery store had good meals for breakfast and dinner. Bus station is near the house. Very good communication with the owner.

The size of the room exceeded my expectations. It was very large and comfortable. With ample seating space, it was a great room for a weekend where we were locked in because of storms in the mountains. We also got a late checkout as the roads were closed due to the storm.
