Charming large country house. There are many board games in the living room, there are also music CDs with classic music. A lot of space. Comfortable beds with clean linens. There are 2-3 parking spaces in front of the house. Very friendly staff.

Outstanding service. Large breakfast with lots of drinks, fruit, cereals, specialty items (salmon, parfaits), vegetables, and made to order eggs. Hosts took our dinner orders prior to departing for the festival. Hardy homemade meal, although perhaps a smaller selection than other restaurants. Hosts coordinated a shuttle pickup from the hotel for €30. If you do have your own vehicle, it costs about €10 per day to park at the festival, which it a better value than the shuttle or taxi. It’s a 3-5 min walk from parking to the festival.

Haueis should be a destination place for anyone seeking a high quality relaxed getaway. It has a bucolic setting surrounded by fields and forest…just peaceful. The structure resembles a rambling country estate from the past. It just shouts character. It’s appointed inside with beautiful comfortable furniture…lots of wood and antiques. Comfortable good sized rooms, modern with an old fashion touch. The restaurant serves quality German cuisine nicely cooked and served. A+ German breakfast. Really pleasant helpful staff. GREAT value. If I lived within a few hours of Haueis, I’d stay here often for days at a time.

It was a great little place, husband and wife were both great, neighbors were nice food was great, small salad was bigger than small it was delicious the homemade dressing was very good. Would definitely stay there longer next time. Very small village less than 5k to shops
