Anyone coming to Luxor should stay here. From this location you can easily explore the East or West side as the public ferry is a minutes away. Vodafone and an a good ATM are a minute away and there are many shops and restaurants within a short walking distance. The property is beautiful from the architecture to the decor it was the perfect fusion of luxury and authenticity. The breakfast was impressive with many delicious dishes mainly local but with some extras and all homemade. Finally the hosts in this family owned and run property provided excellent service going above and beyond our expectations, we felt completely taken care of.

We had an excellent stay at Karina Guest House! One of the highlights was the amazing food—fresh, organic Egyptian dishes lovingly prepared by Mohamed. Every meal was a treat! The rooftop view was absolutely stunning—you could see the Valley of the Kings and watch the hot air balloons rising in the early morning. A truly magical experience. We also want to thank Arafat, who provided exceptional taxi service. He made us feel safe and cared for everywhere we went—more than just a driver, he was a true host. The neighborhood experience was another unforgettable part of our stay. We had the chance to spend time with local families on their farms. The kids especially loved riding donkeys and horses, feeding goats, and getting a glimpse into rural Egyptian life. This stay was warm, authentic, and full of heart. Highly recommended!

We had a great experience. The room and the garden were comfortable and the beds were big with mattresses that were good for our backs. The host was very friendly. He gave us good suggestions on what to do. He was very flexible to our needs and very accommodating. We definitely recommend it.

Beautiful newly renovated building. Rooms & bathroom are clean, crisp white with modern decor and ammenities. Manager and owner both there to welcome us and chat throughout our stay about anything we need. Would stay longer if we had more time! Pool is a luxury, was clean and inviting. Located just off the main street, tucked away in a quiet area but still super close to everything. Can’t fault anything. Brekky the first day was the best we’ve had in Egypt! We had an early bus the second morning & they were kind enough to still arrange a breakfast for us before we left. Thank you❤️

The Banana Guesthouse was perfect and my stay there was a very happy one. The Manager of the property was so kind and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. He and his wife offered an exceptional breakfast each morning and I was sorry to leave. I strongly recommend this property to anyone visiting the Luxor area. The location is perfect and just a short distance from The Valley of the Kings and the other amazing temples close by. I thank them very much & send them my very best wishes for the future.
