This Hostel is a gem. The small touches make it stand out. Apart from the welcome from Olga, the clean and comfortable room, we found the extra special toiletries, the well equipped kitchen with a fridge, microwaves and crockery and cutlery made the stay so much more comfortable. Olga was so helpful in pointing out locations in town and speaks good English which helped us a lot. The hostal is right on the Camino on a quiet street but close to all ammenities.

I cannot speak highly enough of the incredibly hospitable owners of Hostal El Horno/ Hostal Casa San Nicolas in Molinaseca, Jose and Mara. During my two-day stay at their charming establishment, I had the opportunity to rest and recover from a taxing descent from El Acebo that left my ankles swollen. The location of the casa is superb, and upon my arrival, I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, which included a larger bed and a breathtaking view. The room was very clean, and I was treated to a delightful breakfast each morning. In addition to their warm hospitality, Jose and Mara also prepared a traditional Brazilian meal for their guests, showcasing their dedication to providing an exceptional experience. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend Hostal El Horno / Hostal Casa San Nicolas for its outstanding hosts and memorable stay.
