The man who introduced us to the hotel was lovely; he showed us around and explained everything and made sure we knew everything. He made us feel really comfortable and even said if we need help we could phone him at any time of the night; luckily that wasnt an issue. The beds were so comfy and the shower was lovely and hot. Would definitely stay again!

Everything was simply perfect: - Your hospitality was overwhelming - we felt welcome and well taken care of from the very beginning. - The breakfast was a highlight every day - delicious, freshly prepared, and with great attention to detail. - Our room was clean, cozy, and exactly what we had imagined. - We were traveling with our children and were given a very warm welcome - thank you for the child-friendly atmosphere! - The hotel's location was ideal - within walking distance to the city center, yet quiet enough to relax. It was very clean and quiet. Great location to beach and town centre. Literally a 10 minute walk, and while homeward bound is a little up hill l, it’s not that bad. Also a great little pub across the road that does good meals. The ensuite room is on the 3rd floor, but not a big deal, unless you wanted to drag suitcases up. We just took up what we needed for the night. Bed was so fluffy and comfortable, we slept in. Both the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Lovely couple that are doing a great job of hosting. Even though there is no fridge in room, they have one on the landing for guest use.

All the kindness and help from Steve and Joseph!! All the extras in our room, including s dressing gown, slippers, lots of snacks, a small bottle of complimentary sparkling wine in our fridge, facecloths, shower cap, etc. Delicious cappuccinos and breakfasts made to order Steve dropped us off at the Harbour restaurants, so we didn't have to find parking on a busy Saturday night. It took us about 25 minutes to walk home, but we could have ordered a taxi Wonderful packed lunch of sandwiches to order, yummy cake, a banana and a naartjie, and a bottle of water for £5. Exceptional value!! The delicious slice of cake each day in our rooms for us to eat (with a list of ingredients used). Carrying our heavy bags into and out of our rooms for us Using their cars to 'book' a parking space for us in the road next to Garway Lodge, as the 3 places inside their grounds were already taken. Extensive number of brochures in the entrance hall and help with planning our days' outings

Hosts were extremely accommodating in every way and facilities were excellent.Liitle touches here and there showed how much they wanted you to enjoy your stay thus I would recommend staying here to anyone

What a little hidden gem!! I love the detail and thought of everything that went into the room and the needs of a solo traveler. First of all I turned up early at 10am, plenty of parking at the back of the hotel. Then my room was all ready so a bonus of an early check in, so I could dump all my stuff and go. Like I said I was a solo traveler so I had a single room on the bottom floor right next to the dining hall. For me the room was perfect, clean and comfortable with the extra added bonuses of a extra towel for my hair along with a full length mirror (‘little things in life), coffee and tea facilities, a cubby cupboard to store luggage, a mini fridge with a small bottle of water and a TV. The breakfast was outstanding, I basically had everything!! Porridge with Greek yogurt and fruit along with a great quality Full English. (photos to follow) Danny & Dolores were great hosts, answering all my questions and showing a general interest in my trip, along with them giving me a map to help me find my way round. Also your just a short few minutes walk down to the beach. If I had to give any niggle, it would be the bathroom could be a squeeze for the larger person, especially around the sink area. But I had no personal issues at all. Plus if you’re not an early riser (I am) you may get woken up via the light coming in via the shutter slats, and maybe by the lush smell of bacon coming through from the dinning room. The latter I really enjoyed as I knew I was in for a treat of a breakfast!! But these are the most little trivial things, and would not ever put me off staying again. I will 100% be back and I’ve recommended the Southbank Town House to all my friends and family, and as a quite hard to please ex travel representative. I’m impressed!!

Everything! The very friendly, professional and helpful staff! The stunning hotel and amazing clean, spacious and elegantly decorated bedroom. The breakfasts were home-cooked and amazing. Highly recommend staying at the Cimon hotel! The jewel of Torquay! Sincere thanks Julia and Jamie!
