Really nice onsen, outdoor especially, you can hear the river while soaking. Maybe I got lucky but I had the onsen mostly to myself. Staff was really nice and helpful. Kitchen has everything you need

It was clean, safe and quiet. There is a kitchen so you can eat your meals at the guesthouse and don’t need to worry about finding food. They offer a shuttle to the nearest station and museum which was a great help as the guesthouse is a bit secluded in a quiet neighborhood. There are hiking trails nearby and would love to visit again and explore more of the area around the guesthouse.

The place feels extremely traditional, and the staff was very welcoming, introducing us to the traditions. If possible EAT DINNER there, it is a unique experience for tourists, and the staff makes sure it is great. The place is extremely clean, and beds are relatively comfortable. If you plan to visit the open air museum there is no better location.

I really enjoyed the hospitality and the way I was treated during my stay. The owner and the two elderly gentlemen helping to manage the property were incredibly kind and polite. They went above and beyond, offering me a ride to the bus station, even though it wasn’t part of the service. Despite the language barrier, communication was easy with the help of Google Translate, and they were always ready to assist with anything I needed. Oh, almost forgot! They also have a really cool art gallery shop on the property, plus a karaoke machine! If you’re into karaoke, you can definitely have a fun time with them in the evening. It’s such a unique and enjoyable touch to the whole experience 😊 I’m very grateful for their warmth and generosity. Thank you so much, I’ll definitely come back next time! 🤗

Good location a few minutes from the main street, close to a relaxing public onsen, with whom they have a discount, friendly staff, good facilities, clean, comfortable sleeping "box" for 2, with good space to leave a few things around. The short steep uphill walk to get there was not a problem for us with backpacks, might be a bit more challenging for regular suitcases with wheels.
