This hotel is run by the kindest couple, and I’m still thinking about how good dinner and breakfast were. Some of the best meals of my trip! You can also order lunch for the trail. The onsen was wonderful after a long day hiking. Room was on the 3rd floor and very quiet, it was compact and simple, very clean, with everything you might need, including yukatas for dinner and towels for the onsen. Shared toilets and sinks in the hall were never busy; there are two communal showers inside the onsen. I asked about laundry and they took mine and washed it for me within a few hours! The bus stop to Shingu or Hongu was a one-minute walk from the hotel. Yunomine Onsen was such a unique town, I feel lucky to have stayed here and enjoyed such great hospitality!

The location is so beautiful. It overlooks the river and is really quiet. The rooms themselves were comfortable and clean. Everything looked new and the owner was extremely helpful.

The view from the parking lot is the only saving grace of this place. Other than that there was a plus in that the host was responsive via whatsapp.

Everything! Nonagase is right in Chilatsuyu so after a long day of hiking on the Kumano Kodo, you will be happy to walk right to your beautiful and historic guest house. Hitomi, Hiroki and Omri are outstanding hosts, making sure your every need is covered … and the meals are superb! We could not have chosen better. Hiroki also helped us arrange our luggage transfer, lunch for our hike, and helped us with other hiking details. Thank you all for a lovely stay !
