Nice and very affordable guesthouse near train station and Bamboo Forest. Masumi is a wonderful host! She made the extra mile to make me feel at home. She offered toast and hot macha when I arrived. It is really interesting to talk to her and she has good tips, being a tour guide too. Thank you Masumi for your wonderful service.

The staff is wonderful, super helpful and kind. Always giving nice recommendations and really helpful information on how to go around Kyoto and the best gems to visit. I really enjoyed my stay here! Location is in a residential area, making it a quiet respite after a whole day of sightseeing, while still being conveniently close to the center. Breakfast was also tasty and kindly brought into the room daily. Emiko-san and her family were very welcoming and accommodating. She even gave me a ride to Kyoto Station on my last day and always checked on me daily to see how I was. Very kind family. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit!
