5 minute walk from the beach, Odawara castle, and 7-Eleven. Perfect location! Room was clean, bed was comfy, kitchen and living room were great, and the shower was hot and had great water pressure. Couldn't have been better! The people we met while we stayed here were cool too.

A fantastic mix of traditional and modern. We loved how the owners retained as much of the original 1940s features while incorporating modern amenities. For those who fear futons / sleeping on the floor, fear not, the futons were wonderfully comfortable, even my husband - who came prepared with his camping Nemo sleeping pad - thought so and didn't use the sleeping pad! Our hostess and host were absolutely wonderful and so very lovely. The location is perfect - on a quiet street but just minutes walk from the busy area and literally a stones throw from the Odawara Castle. I wish we had planned to stay longer in Odawara!

Exceptionally clean. Great location -just 3-4 minutes away from the central station but in a very quiet residential area. All amenities were available for a comfortable stay.

everything. the staff, service, rooms, food, cleanliness and onsen were as advertised or even better. we were even dropped off to Gora station after our stay which was very nice of them. would recommend to anyone who is planning on a stay at Hakone.

Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. They had food available at the bar / common area. Laundry was available. The capsules were clean and extremely comfortable with large lockers for storage.

Irori Guest House Tenmaku in Hakone provides accommodations with a bar and a shared lounge.

Good location. Located right beside the Open Air Museum and not too far from the station, convenience stores nearby. You're already on the loop to start with, so you can choose to start in Gora which is one station away or take the bus to the lake and start that way. Common area and kitchen are nice. The dinner was really fun and a great chance to chat with other guests staying in the hostel too so I would recommend booking the dinner for sure! Staff were also friendly too, and always up for chatting. No onsen but Yunnesun/Morinoyu is not that far away and if you have the Hakone pass you can get the bus there for free. Earplugs in the dorm which is always appreciated!

I had an incredible time at Momiji no mori and I would really like to thank the staff and their friends for making it extra wonderful! I was already excited to visit as I loved the antique theme and views from the location. I truly wish I stayed one more day in order to have a more relaxed pace but I still found a moment to enjoy the outdoor bath and Hakone in general has been great. Kintoki shrine is only a few minutes walk away and if you're adventurous, you can go up the 1212m tall mountain from the path behind it. I didn't have a car but the staff was super hospitable and drove me close by on several occasions and there's also a bus stop right outside. I really felt well cared for while being a solo traveller and somewhere less busy, so this made a big difference in my comfort. The room is as cozy and calm as it looks and it is well maintained and clean. The gallery space is really incredible, I could sit in the rocking chair or balcony forever and listen to the music and birds. I can't wait to come back here one day, especially when it is fully autumn!
