Our room was well equipped with a small fridge and a good air conditioning unit. Mr. Kim was extremely friendly and helpful, telling us about our room and our stay in general. He recommended a delicious restaurant, which he called the owners to let them know we were coming. I couldn't ask for a nicer host. He went above and beyond. He even drove us to the port for our ferry to Jeju the morning of our departure. Please consider booking a stay at 이학장 guesthouse. You won't be disappointed.

Our welcoming to the apartment was very sweet the check in was super easy. The Hanok itself was very nice and cozy and an overall excellent experience and accommodation especially compared to other hostels. The price was fair. We would’ve loved to stay longer than one night and use the communal spaces in the location. The breakfast was nice as well and even prepared early as we had to leave before regular breakfast schedule. I would recommend the stay to anyone who wants travel to Mokpo for a couple of days!

Communication with host was prompt. There's self check-in so you don’t meet the host but as there was no issue at all, it wasn't a problem. The guesthouse is a small one, super close to the station - max 2 mins walking - and there are several bus options around. The port and cable car are close and some of the important sites to see are in walking distance, as well. Getting to the Peace Square and the Rainbow Fountain Show is convenient but takes a bit of a time. The guesthouse overall seems quite new with modern interiors. The single room is convenient with comfy bed and a nice-sized bathroom. The entire guesthouse is very clean. You need to leave your shoes at the entrance hall in the dedicated lockers, where slippers are provided for you. There's a kitchen space on the top floor with a shared fridge, and there's access to a cosy roof terrace. The building is a no-miss with its purple walls - maybe an option for BTS ARMY 💜 😆 I will definitely come back next time I visit Mokpo.

The location was around 5 minutes walk to the train station. Rooms were clean and air conditioned. Kitchen provided basic but nice breakfast. What made our stay easier and more comfortable was the owner tried his best helping us to sort out ferry tickets to Jeju.

We only stayed for a sleep as we arrived late and we're taking the early ferry to Jeju. But the room was really stylish and cosy. Very clean and would recommend.
