Sigiriya Sunshine Villa was an amazing place to stay during our visit to this beautiful area! The location is ideal—close to popular spots like Lion’s Rock and scenic hiking trails, making it perfect for exploring the region. One of the highlights of our stay was the fresh fruits offered during breakfast, all grown on their own land. It was such a treat to start the day with such delicious and natural flavors! The manager was incredibly attentive, always stopping by our table or greeting us when we passed by to ensure everything was perfect with our stay. This thoughtful attention made us feel truly cared for and welcome. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere of the villa was so peaceful. If you're looking for a cozy and hospitable place to stay near Sigiriya, Sunshine Villa is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

A very nice comfortable place in a quiet close not far from the lon's rock and Pidurangala.just a 1km. Excellent, friendly family who looked after and anticipated your every need. We had one delicious dinner there.The sri lankan foods are very healthy and tasty. The best Sri Lankan vegetable curry so far - and the aubergine curry was so good that I asked for the recipe. Breakfast very good too. There are so many power sockets in the room that are very useful.Harsha the owner of the place is a very knowledgeable person.He is doing a tourist guiding since 2015.we highly recommend this place to others

Very convenient to both Lion Rock and Pidurangala Rock. Close View is a bit tucked away. You will need help finding it the first time. But once found the family that runs it are wonderful and very helpful in anything you might need. They gave us a pre-dawn ride Pidurangala Rock to hike to the top for sunrise views so that we might avoid wild elephants that wander around at night, but then we easily walked back in the light. The town itself is half a mile or so away, but a nice walk around the ramparts or a short tuktuk ride. Wild peacocks and a view of Lion Rock accompanied our breakfast on the hotel's little outdoor verandah. Peaceful. Would definitely choose Close View again.

This is a gem of a place. The location is magical with views of Sigiriya Rock across beautiful rice paddies. There are numerous birds to watch from your balcony or the rooftop lounge where you have your delicious breakfast. The rooms are simple and comfortable with AC, hot water and WiFi. You can walk to the village for restaurants, or by the rice paddies to check out the nearby lake. But the best part is the family that owns the guest house - they are absolutely wonderful and really demonstrate what hospitality is all about. We really enjoyed our time at this guest house.

The hospitality is amazing. The tree house is beautiful, the whole expensive was exceptional. The owner way very sweet and kind.
