The hotel was worth EVERY climb of the steep hill!!! We felt right at home from the start and the staff made a lot of effort to make our stay special and memorable. Situated inbetween the students the local pub across the road is splendid for a glass of lovely wine or a beer on tap. We slept like a log: comfortable beds and quiet rooms. From our welcome drinks to the personal touch breakfast basket -- everything was a treat! Thank you for your hospitality.

Susana was an amazing host, and little Arya too! They both warmly welcomed us with a wide smile, alongside some cute gifts, a cool Praxis beer and many treats for our dog... and a puppy bed that served as a soft pillow. It's not easy to find amazing stays that are truly pet-friendly as well. Location-wise, it's walking distance from Coimbra's downtown though it might still be better to use a car since it's a bit of a climb. There's a supermarket, a few cafés, and most points-of-interest south-west of the river close-by. The room has it own entrance and a small patio, which is convenient (Susana lived upstairs), and it was very cozy and well decorated. While it does not have a kitchenet per-se, it actually felt more like an apartment, and would be great for shorter stays or those looking to eat out more often (the city has tons of great restaurants). The microwave and coffee-maker should fulfill most needs.

Location is not super central but the walk from Njoy to Praca Republica to the museum and the university and on to Largo Portagem, was very enjoyable. There is a large communal kitchen and dining room with complete utilities. Room is modern and clean. Located in a secure building on a safe street.

Our experience at Casa de Sao Bento was truly delightful. The apartments are tastefully decorated and offer a cozy atmosphere. The location is excellent, situated in a charming neighborhood with easy access to the city's attractions. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure my stay was comfortable. I particularly enjoyed the amenities provided, such as the well-equipped kitchen and comfortable bedding.
