I highly recommend this accommodation. The host, June, is super caring and makes you feel at home instantly. The room was beautiful and felt authentic due to the wooden walls and furniture. Doors to the balcony provided an amazing view of nature, which gave me the feeling I was in the middle of a jungle. Still, the beach was very close by (location: close enough to everything, but still calm and quiet). The room was clean and had everything i needed. Breakfast was really really good. With home made dishes and a lot of fresh fruits (see pictures to know what to expect). During my stay there were two occasions when I was extra happy that I stayed at the Orchid Home: (1) My birthday: my brother had contacted the host to ask if they wanted to pass on a birthday card for me. When they learned it was my birthday, they made a big thing out of it: extra special breakfast, a little birthday cake with candles, and all staff came to sing for me. It was really lovely. (2) I had a little accident with a motor cycle on my last night in Koh Tao: June was there for comfort and helped me as she provided ice packs, iso-betadine, and tea. All and all, I loved staying here. When I come back to Koh Tao, I will stay at the Orchid home again.

Everything, a total favourite of our trip and would definitely return! The set up is lovely, bed comfortable, bar and restaurant brilliant and can snorkel till your heart is content. Staff super friendly.

Staff was very helpful and kind. If I needed anything at all, they were always right there to help. The food in the restaurant is really good and the prices are reasonable. The wait staff is amazing. It's clean and comfortable and in a great location. The owner is a very nice man as well.

Wonderful, peaceful and quiet accommodation close to the pier and right in front of many dive schools. Comfy, spacious and well equipped room, very clean. Good working Wifi and AC. You get new water and toilet paper every day, also new garbage bags and towels, if you want to. House keeping all three days. The hosts are the nicest people, help you with every problem, answering quickly. When we left, we took a night ferry and it was possible to have a late check-out at 7pm, as no other guests were coming, without any additional charge. Also possible to store the backpacks at reception for another hour.

We had a fantastic stay. We had originally booked for 2 nights and we extended an extra two for a total of 4 wonderful days! The rooms were great for the value of money, the beds were comfy and the sheets/covers were lovely/soft/new! But the staff is where our great review comes from. They were incredibly kind and helpful! The manager especially, spent time helping us with our visa extension, helping organise taxis/drivers and he even helped me pull off a little cake celebration! The location was perfect for us; it was quite for when we were ready for bed but a short walk to all the local bars, food and mini marts. We would absolutely stay again! Thank you!

This place has everything you want in a perfect hostel: great beds with space and privacy, super calm, lovely staff (do not speak much English so just use a translator app if needed), amazing view from the rooftop with a useful little kitchen station, perfect location, and a more than fair price. I came back 3 times, and it is by far my favourite hostel on Koh Tao. If you pay a tiny bit more for the smaller dorm, you get a lovely window/balcony with a view on the pier. Oh and they also provide water refill which I think is so sensible on a beautiful reefy island.

Location walkable from the port. Lovely location nearby the hotspots but comfortable (by scooter) away to enjoy the silence. They offer (free) snorkel rental aswell!
