The host stays out of your affairs though they stay on the property. Affordable place with modern rooms and a very comfortable bed. I recommend that the pillows be regularly washed or that they put pillow covers.My pillow was saliva stained and didn't smell great.

We had a wonderful stay at Taunton Cottage & Mews. We slept so good in the large bed. Quite neighbourhood with locked garage for the car. And then there was Roy who welcomed us with a nice bottle of wine. The attention to detail in the appartement and his warm personality are unreal. Thank you so much for the wonderful stories, you showed us what the real South-Africa is all about. Amazing experience from my checkin to my checkout. Hosts & staff were friendly, professional and so helpful. I felt like the atmosphere of the guesthouse was so serene and relaxing, the music was also a great touch during breakfast. Breakfast was delicious and there was such a variety. Great location! This guesthouse is located in Greenacres, in the suburbs of Port Elizabeth, very close to the mall and numerous restaurants. The area felt safe. The guesthouse is one building (similar to a normal house) but with locked doors subdividing it into individual room complexes with a bedroom, toilet and shower, and a kitchenette. Edouard was a pleasure to have as our host and was very engaging. The breakfast was great with a collection of cereals and warm food offered.
