Swellendam is a very cute little town, the third oldest town in South Africa. It has a nice historic museum, good quality restaurants and an amazing nature reserve. We loved the very unique Marloth Nature Reserve (taken the route nr.2.)! Everything together will remain a very good memory for us.

The rooms are cozy and clean. The breakfast was excellent: strong coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, and a choice of delicious menu items. Exceptionally professional and pleasant staff. Owners were delightful and truly cared about our comfort and stay. I cannot say enough about the on-site restaurant. We travel all over the world and we found the restaurant to be world-class: beautiful presentation, creative dishes, excellent wine list, knowledgeable and professional service, and plentiful entree combinations.

This is an old Dutch house from the end of the 18th century. It has a lot of old furniture. It looks very stylish. Everything is clean, neat and everything works. Plus convenient parking. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance, and the beautiful old town itself is quite safe.

We had the Africa Suite, which is a fantastic room. The staff is very lovely and welcoming and the entire complex is very well maintained. Breakfast is very delicious with a good selection of food. Parking on site is available and convenient. It is really such a nice place!
