Great location, Beautiful landscape from the window In a small village on the north shore of the island. The highlight is the owner Kimika is one of the nicest people I met in Japan. She is very friendly and helpful. She is a calligraphy artist and she gave us a demo. It was fascinating. We had a wonderful time over there thanks to her friendly and generous personality. I highly recommend staying in the special place. It made my experience in Yakushima.

The location is very convenient, close to the attractions in the south and west of the island. I chose to have breakfast and dinner for the two days I stayed there and everything was freshly prepared and delicious. The best part of my stay had to do with the gracious hospitality of Yuki. Shortly after I booked, Yuki contacted me and offered helpful information about my stay and the importance of having a rental car. She even reserved a rental car for me when I could not find one myself, and she did not charge a fee. After I arrived, Yuki offered nice suggestions for things to do in Yakushima, all of which I took advantage of and had a wonderful time. Yuki even lent me her sarong so I could enjoy the hot spring pools by the sea. She also helped me call and cancel my ferry reservation after I changed my plans. I was so glad that I stayed at blue drop during my first two stays in Yakushima; it was a great start to my vacation. I highly recommend this beautiful place!
