Lin and Ah Sey and the entire staff are so friendly and helpful. They really did everything to make my visit great. I loved hanging out in the restaurant and watching little Lily get into all sorts of mischief, and the infamous sea otter paid a visit which was amazing and funny. As others have mentioned, Lin’s boat ride with snorkeling, fishing, a barbecue and finally swimming with the bioluminescent plankton was pure magic!

Ellen gave us great advice on what to do and where to eat in the bay as the food there is excellent. We didn’t want to leave.

It is 26 km to Sihanoukville. 📍Location is great. Coconut beach is quiet and peaceful. It’s away from the main pier but the hotel arranges for tuktuk to pick you up and it’s a 10 minute ride. 🛌 So for context there was a storm on the first night where the power went out for about 6 hours meaning no functioning fan for one night. Slept fine anyway, slept even better on the second night with the fan. Mosquito net also provided. 🍽️ Hotel serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner. On average costing 4.50 usd for breakfast, 6.50 usd for lunch, 8.00 usd for dinner incl drinks. Card payments accepted. Good range of western and Asian options. Overall a great stay- I ended up extending my stay by 3 more nights and was lucky to take their last available room.

Friend of Nature Bungalow is a recently renovated guest house in Koh Rong Island, where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace. So peaceful and amongst the locals far from tourists. Could use the kyack to explore the mangroves & beach. Bungalow is fully sheltered from the rain and sun. It was off-season, so luckily, one cade was open with good food, only $3.

The guest house has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open. The location of the bungalow was great, in easy reach of restaurant and the piers. The best of our stay were the pavilions with available hammocks overlooking the sea and bay in front of the bungalows. Johny was a great help during our stay and welcomed us with a cold drink. He also organised a scooter and an amazing boat tour. A water tank is provided which is very much appreciated.

It is set less than 1 km from M’Pai Bay Wild Beach and provides bicycle parking. It is possible for guests to sit outside and enjoy the property grounds. Sam is an awesome host. She has all of the intel on the best places to eat, drink, snorkel etc. She knows all of the owners of the local restaurants and can tell you when and what is open as some of the restaurants have irregular opening times. We found our stay at Sam’s Place very comfortable and Sam made us feel totally welcome. The room was quiet and clean and there are outside soft chairs and sofa to relax. The beach is about 50 metres away; the mini Mart about 20 metres away. Highly recommended.
