Firstly, the location is in a bit of an industrial area, so it feels a bit grungy and the sidewalks are broken. But the hostel itself is fantastic. It has a pool, a nice kitchen, good places to hang out. And the rooms (although some guests like to use their phones without pods or headphones) are great. Private. Shower was really good. And the rooms are nice and cool. Staff were really nice as well.

The room was quiet and spacious. The garden was nice to eat in. 10 minute walk to main square.

I knew this place would be next to the mangroves, but I did NOT expect the mangroves to be right next to the open-air common area outside our room! And there's a short 1-2 minute walkway through the mangroves, leading to the river where you can go kayaking and even waterbiking (though there's only one bike). What a beautiful experience to sleep to the sounds of nature and wake up to the birds chirping. I also saw some strange possum/lemur-like animal climbing through the trees while I was having breakfast!

The unit is air conditioned and is comprised of a terrace with an outdoor dining area as well as a flat-screen TV with streaming services. For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. Super lovely room and great value for what we paid. It is run by a friendly and caring family. Walkable distance to the town centre. Breakfast was included with our stay and they insisted on waking up early to prepare it even though we had to wake up early to drop off our rental car in Cancun. Parking is on the property behind a closed gate. I would definitely stay here again.

Situated on the seafront in Flores and boasting a private beach area, Posada Don Julio has free WiFi. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The rooms have a patio with lake views. Lesbia and Julio are very warm and welcoming hosts. They made me feel like at home, we had nice conversations and it was a great pleasure to stay with them for some days. My room was huge with a big balcony directly above the water - very cool! The location is not in the Flores Island but in San Miguel - so if you search for a calmer non touristic area that's your choice! From Flores it is easy to arrive with a small boat in about 5 mins. Also recommended to book the tour to Tikal etc. and transports with them, they offer for a good price. And it is helpful to know some Spanish as their English is limited (but Julio is learning!) 😊 muchas gracias 🥰

Andrea takes care of the place real good. We got fresh cleaned bed every night, room gets cleaned regularly. Really beautiful view from the top floor pool. Really enjoyed the stay. There's a cafe bambu right downstairs with one of the best espressos on the island. Check in process was very easy and host is super accommodative.
