The beach is also just 50 metres away, offering a variety of water-sports and nature tours. We very much enjoyed our stay in this French Provençal-styled boutique hotel. We had two rooms, both of which were extremely comfortable. The beds and bed linen were superb and the staff very pleasant and professional. There was coffee and tea in the room as well as a snack, plus a minibar and luxury toiletries. The breakfast was delicious. We can highly recommend.

The deck was a highlight, offering a stunning sunset over the mountains—one of the most memorable moments of our trip. Breakfast was excellent, freshly prepared and served in a relaxed atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, our host greeted us with warmth and kindness, making us feel completely at home. The apartment was stunning tastefully decorated, immaculately clean, and incredibly inviting. An amazing breakfast! Generous, delicious, and beautifully served it was the perfect start to our day. Though our stay was short, it was packed with charm and hospitality. Milky Way truly shines, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Featuring a garden and views of garden, Rivergate Guest Farm is a recently renovated guest house located in Stanford, 19 km from Vogelgat Nature Reserve. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The guest house features facilities for disabled guests. Mitchell came to our unit and offered to take us with our grandchildren to see the farm in the back of his bakkie. The boys walked with the chickens, picked out eggs, checked the vege garden, drove a tractor and were generally spoilt - Mitchell was their hero. We walked with the Al Paco's, the geese and even visited the goat house, We had sundowners on the deck, made a beautiful hot tub and experienced their amazing "Eathouse" meals. The Breakfast basket was exceptional.
