Hillhouse was absolutely perfect. We loved the ambience of the hotel. New meets old. The staff was super friendly and helpfull. The breakfast was great, a great spread. The location of this hotel is great. Close to everything.

The location is great. The room was nice and comfortable. Also, the sound-proofing was great. The host was very pleasant and very helpful. The bathroom was weird :) But the terrace was very welcome to have. Bear in mind, if you travel with someone and they need to use the bathroom, you will most probably not be able to go to the terrace until they are finished :P If you are alone, the plus side is that you can leave the terrace door open for an even more "open" feeling, while using the toilet.

General: everything was perfect. Firstly, we got the exact room that we saw online. Nice interior and, most importantly, very clean. We were provided with everything (nice soaps, a lot of towels, coffee, tea and water during this hot period). The bathroom was outstanding. The room was spacious. Last but not least, the host is a lovely and very caring person. Good communication from the start. Was very helpful and understanding when one of us became ill. I can only recommend this hotel and we’ll definitely come back!

Very helpful staff. Since the hotel is in the city center parking is difficult. If one is to park on the street you need to pay for parking with SMS and that can only be done with a bulgarian phone. Since I don't have one, the staff paid for me and put on my bill. Big thanks! Breakfast was simply but fresh and cooked on order. The location is located at the beginning of the main pedestrian street where you can find most restaurants and bars. Short walking (5min) distance to old, historic city centre. Hotel also has a nice bar with good cocktails.

A very special place in the heart of the old town of Plovdiv. All the main attractions are within a 5-minute walk. The restaurant area is separate and the noise from there does not reach the accommodation, so you sleep in peace and quiet. Breakfast is simple and tasty, good coffee. The reception is on a level of its own, but let it be a pleasant surprise. This is not a 5-star hotel, but for this price there is plenty of experience. You will not find anything similar anywhere, unless you end up in Sacramento California. :)

Great hostel. The location was great, right in the middle of the old town but in a quiet area. Walking distance to all the attractions. Staff was very helpful, nice and friendly. It was pretty warm when I was there so the ac was a big plus. Rooms and common areas were clean and comfortable. The lockers in the room are very big so I could fit all my stuff in. Definitely recommend.
