We loved the tastefulness of the decorations, recommendations for activities to do, quality of the food and helpfulness of the staff. Above all the view from our room was exquisite and made for a calming feel throughout our time.

Close to the center but in a quiet street. The hostel manager is really helpful, she explained what to do or not to do and arranged us the best way to explore the region, including booking day transport. The kindest host on my travels in years !

Room faced the karsts/mountains and was fabulous to sit on the sofa with a cup of tea made in my room. Staff were young and friendly and super helpful although the translation apps don't work so well and hard to communicate but always got it figured out. Outside the hotel are the most magnificent pathways for walking or bikes which I rented a bike everyday and headed off to the next village along the river. Glorious place to stay. Town is a half block away for a few restaurants but the bigger town for West Street is packed with international places for comfort food and souvenirs so take a Didi for $1.00 and go there for your meals. Ran Coffee Cafe was the best for a fresh tuna salad and mango smoothie. Breakfast was some fun pancakes, eggs and fresh fruit and served always slow but very tasty. A few menu items available all the time like smoothies, desserts. I would never ever stay in the bigger city of Yangshuo when you can experience the local life and countryside on a sunrise walk or bike ride. I caught farmers plowing with their cattle, or working their crops of rice on a daily basis. Just an incredible place to stay.
