This is a marvellous property. Our hosts, Xefe and Franco are lovely people and made every effort to make us comfortable. The place is in a beautiful location and very peaceful. The food was excellent and an early breakfast helped get us underway for our Camino. Muchas Gracias!

Hosteria Sabina is very good. It serves good meals for a very reasonable price. The rooms have good television and Wifi. Many pilgrims start the Spanish Road here. In Roncesvalles you may still experience the old "Camino de Santiago", much more than later on during your long walk! (Buses almost daily from Pamplona).

Very comfortable. We were picked up in Zubiri at cafe and taken to house in the valley. Can recommend the pesto pizza (delicious), and very good cafe con leche. We were dropped off back at the cafe to continue our Camino.

I ended up at ETXEALE because I unexpectedly got sick during my pilgrimage, and needed to stay in Valcarlos a couple of nights. And I was so happy I did! Alejandra was wonderful, cooking great food and giving me tea with homemade ginger and honey for my cough. She is truly an amazing host. Everything was clean and beautiful (and smelled absolutely lovely), and the view of the mountains from my room was unreal, looked like a painting. I really wanted to stay for longer because I felt so relaxed, like I was on a retreat <3

I liked the location; right next to a El Corte Inglés dept store, eateries, the main bus station, other stores and supermarkets. It was also walkable distance to the old part of the city. There's also an urban bus stop mere meters from the door. When I got there, the street door was open, so I went upstairs, to the hostel's actual door, and knocked on it. The manager or owner opened, he was having lunch, but took my luggage in. The room was very nice, clean, and with AC and a small fridge. They bring the breakfast to the room. The owner, I think he was, was helpful and kept my luggage while my room was prepared. I slept quite well; dont remember any noises that were loud enough to bother me. The reservation process is virtual; they send you the code for the main door, and other instructions to retrieve you key card, and that's very cool, but if you get there earlier than regular check in time, you wont be able to retrieve the key card. Still, you can always call the manager, and see if there's a chance the room is ready already.
