I cannot recommend this place enough! The view is simply breathtaking, at night you can see the stars and in the morning gaze at the mountains. The hosting family was incredibly helpful, providing transfers to Mestia, and cooking delicious traditional dinner and breakfast for a good price. If you are looking for a relaxing and welcoming place, this is it.

Nino was the most welcoming host. We booked quite spontaneous and were welcomed by very hearty! We first had a double room for one night and later an apartment for another two nights. Both had a balcony and were very comfortable and bright rooms. The courtyard, garden and the many balconies provided many seatings to relax after hiking.

Phenomenal stay, gorgeous mountain views, comfortable rooms, delicious food and generous hosts + We had a phenomenal stay at Gethauz afrasidze The property is beautiful and remote with gorgeous views of Mts. Ushba and Mazeri; the hosts were immensely generous, accommodating, and flexible and prepared one of the most delicious dinners we had in all of Georgia so we were fueled for long hikes in Svaneti. I’d highly recommend getauz afrasidze for the most idyllic and comfortable stay in Mazeri.

Beautiful guest house newly constructed from timber overlooking the town from the south, just over 10 minutes walk from Seti Park in the town centre. I had a relatively small double room but for 1 or 2 people it would be enough, especially as it was minimally furnished with just 2 bedside tables and a mobile hanger rack, which for me was perfect as I like to have some space for movement and little furniture. I also had a private bathroom which while small functioned well and for the price represented excellent value compared with the other rooms I saw offered online. And not least there was a balcony with chairs and a table facing the town and with views of the mountains to the north and east! There was also a very friendly young dog who greeted me whenever I returned, and I should mention that the first time I did so I mistook his excitement for aggression, but it turned out he was just overjoyed to see me!
