The place looks amazing. The room was clean and spacious, and its view is on a beautiful garden. Sri is very nice and helpful. Breakfast is very good. The beach is 2 minutes walking. We definitely recommend this place!

The best homestay in Java! Dave the host is a legend. He's super helpful and very fun to be around. If your in need of anything he can easily sort it.The place itself is super clean, very spacious and in a great location close to the beach. The space has lots of nice places to chill out in between surfs. The breakfast was so tasty, best banana pancakes around. Can't reccomend Daves homestay enough!

We were met by Hendro, a very nice host! We got a welcome drink by the restaurant he has just by the beach (200m away). This is also where we got our breakfast which were very nice and filling banana pancakes. He has a banana tree just around the corner and we got soo many small bananas for a snack. Hendro is very talkative and will gladly show you the nice places around Pulau Merah and can provide you with transport to and from his homestay if requested. We only stayed for one night, but wished that we could have stayed longer due to the nice area and vibes the place was giving. The dinner at his restaurant was really nice as well - we recommend trying local food! Hendro also helped us getting surfing lessons for very cheap, and the life guards were very kind and good at teaching us surfing. you get one instructor per person and surfboard availability for the entire day. The waves are best in the morning and evening, so it is a good idea to start the day early, before the sun gets too strong. Be aware to stay within the lifeguard flags, as the currents can we very strong on the far ends of the beach. We would definitely go back to Hendro as we had an amazing and pleasant stay!

We've had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere very much! Very clean, spacy and comfortable room. Talkative and joyful hosts that seem to know everyone in the village. Really enjoyed the boat trip to Green bay beach. Also the hike on Pandan Sari Beach was enjoyable with the giant waves crashing into the shore. The tour to Sukamade is definitely an adventurous and nice experience with cheerful people and obviously seeing a turtle laying eggs was the cherry on top that made our trip perfect. This place is really perfect for people that want to relax a bit and enjoy nature in its purest form, while also contributing to the local community as we were assured many times!

Everything was amazing, we were supposed to stay just 2 nights and we ended up staying 4!! Sri, the host of the homestay, is just wonderful. She is friend with everyone in the village and she can show you around or give you great recommendations, specially if you are the type of traveller that wants to avoid crowds. I highly recommend staying here and explore the area, also don't be shy about talking with Sri about anything (including prices if you are not convinced), she is the kindest and will explain everything, since she always wants to make sure their guests are happy with their experience at her place. Also, she cooks all meals herself (and sometimes with her family) and it is the best food we've had in all Indonesia so far.
