We had so much fun at Jeff’s homestay! We made friends that we ended up traveling wirh for two weeks, we enjoyed the local choir practices, best vegitarian food of all Flores, most fun sunrise rice field walk (Jeff is great with the camera) and the views are amazing. The rooms are clean and comfortable (same for the bathroom, very clean). I can only say you must stay here when visiting Ruteng!! You will make memories for life

The hosts, Peronela and her family, are very friendly and hospitable. Everything was prepared just before your arrival. Hot water for your drinks etc. They ensure that all your needs are met. Good value considering the amount they charge for our stay. Would definitely stay there again if we ever return to Ruteng.

We had a great stay at Wisma Po'ong. Peter and Carolina were extremely welcoming and caring. We didn't have a lot of time but Peter had suggested many great activities to bring us to. The breakfast was delicious and whenever we needed anything Peter and Carolina were happy to help us.

Carletas is a remarkable place. We stayed for two nights, wrapped in the warmth, honesty and generosity of this family and really felt like we were leaving family when we moved on. This is not like any other homestay I have ever been to. The house and facilities are very basic, the food is traditional and delicious and the family incredible. We will stay in touch.
