Lovely room, very close to the beach. You will live so close to the best sunset spot! Good bed. Hosts are very kind and are ready to help you with every issue you encounter. There was hot water. Area is peaceful, there is a balcony ideal for reading. Able to work online with the wifi (incl. meetings). I also walked to the city center of Alleppey (abt. 40-45 mts). You can also get tuktuk. The host, Francis, can also help you with a good massage place.

It was clean, comfortable and the host Mohammed was so attentive and helpful. He helped us out with the backwaters tour and anything else we needed. The location was great too with cafes just around the corner and the beach across the road.

The hosting family was very welcoming and we were feeling directly almost part of their family. The rooms are clean and good, located 20m to the beach. The breakfast and especially the dinner were delicious! We were doing Yoga by a teacher in the morning on the Terrasse.

This is such a beautiful and unique place to stay! Wake up to see the sun rising over the backwaters. The owner and staff are so kind, friendly and helpful. I came with 6 of my Yoga students as part of a tour of Kerala and everyone loved it here. They also cooked dinner and breakfast for us which was so delicious! You could taste the love in the food. The owner Shanavas helped me book a houseboat months in advance which turned out great! I highly recommend this quiet and tranquil place!

This is the best homestay! Set down a quiet road along a small canal, it's a peaceful and beautiful setting away from all the hustle and bustle. Jose and his family were so welcoming and helpful. They cooked us dinner when we arrived late at night due to bus delays - it was delicious! Anything you need, they always want to help. Jose helped us arrange an incredible houseboat stay last minute and was so flexible and accommodating. In the homestay, the room was spotless and so spacious with plenty of storage and a mosquito net. Plug in mosquito repellent gave peace of mind and not a single bug bothered us all night. The bed was comfortable and we sleep well. Breakfast was lovely and you can bird watch on the balcony whilst sipping chai. If you are in Alleppey, you absolutely have to stay here!

    Loved staying at Kalappura homestay! Jose and his family were great hosts. The room was super comfortable, with a very soft bed and a hot shower! There is a nice common area and the location is great. Jose also helped us with booking the boat tour Fientje backwaters. He provided us with different options so we could decide what type of tour we wanted to do. Thanks Jose & fam for your hospitality!

    This homestay is clean and comfortable with an uplifting and quirky vibe. Johnson is a lovely host who clearly really cares about the environment. He was kind enough to drive us to a restaurant he recommended and offered to pick us up due to the heavy rain! The price is very reasonable and the other staff members are nice. We felt very looked after.

    The host family was so welcoming and kind. They couldn't do enough for us during our stay. They helped us with trip bookings, tuk tuks, and laundry. The breakfast were big feasts! The host made different local dishes each morning. The home stay was in a quiet area, not far from the beach and a few restaurants. The room and living area was really clean - one of the cleanest rooms we've had so far on our trip in India.

    The hosts Albert and Sunitha are extremely friendly, welcoming and accommodating. They are a warm family who are great hosts. Sunitha is a great chef who makes customised authentic kerelan meals for all 3 meals a day! Another guest celebrated their wedding anniversary there and the host family went above and beyond with decorations and cake! The room was clean. The homestay is right on the beach with great sunset views. We stayed at hotels during our trip but the experience and service here was far better!
