Pushkar Cooking Art and Home Stay is a gem. It is close to the lake, the market and all the action in Pushkar, but it's on a side road, so you don't hear the honking. The hosts are lovely people who are really knowledgeable, speak excellent English, cook the best Indian food and keep the place really clean. We had dinner at the home stay every day, because the food is superb, the portions are generous, and everything is clean. It's like an oasis in the noise and quagmire (lit. and fig.) of India. We actually extended our stay here with three days, which we have never done before. I highly recommend this place because it's a great value for money, the room is comfortable, they provide complimentary items, and again...the food is awesome. Our kids also loved staying and playing here, and it's a great place to meet fellow travelers. The hosts will provide you with all the necessary information about transport, sights, etc. Ah yes, I nearly forgot: THEY LITERALLY SHOWERED US WITH ROSE PETALS when we left. Thank you Shivani et al, my kids miss you and Pushkar :)

I loved my stay in rajguru, mirin and his father were so friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, just minutes walking to the market and the lake and also peaceful. Already I look forward to returning next time I come to pushkar

The reason this place has a feel of a traditional Rajasthani house, because it is one. There are a bunch of banana trees in the courtyard, a mini temple behind it and a few cats that lighten things up. The host family is very kind. The dad though has a monotonous tone and at times, may feel like he is upto something - like he wants to chase you out of the house. But as the days pass by, you know is is a kind as the other members of the family.

The room was spacious and nice, the balcony was a bonus, but what made my stay really enjoyable were the host Suri and the staff. Cool place, nice people, good times!

Perfect location, more like staying with a family. Everything recommended to me was spot on, and Sono and Mono were kind and funny. I really enjoyed hanging with them as much as I did staying there. Would fully recommend for a no frills, but clean and authentic experience - anything you need, simply ask and their local knowledge will serve you well. Really miss being there - good times.

Just as we stepped down from an auto near the property, Mr Sanjay Sharma, the owner was there to receive us with a very winsome smile. One step inside the haveli induced a feeling of quite and calm. Throughout our stay Mr Sanjay kept inquiring if we needed any assistance as we moved about the various beautiful locations around the lake and offered prayers at the famous temples. Overall we had a very delightful stay at Pushkar.
