Vinayak is the perfect host and local guide. We enjoyed a hike together with him, where he informed us about a lot of local things. He also has a huge knowledge about plants and comes up with interesting fruit from his ecological garden. Just great to stay there.

My stay at SpiceBuds FarmStay in Ramakkalmedu was an unforgettable blend of rustic charm and modern comfort, nestled within a serene 5-acre spice plantation in Koottar. The beautifully renovated heritage rock house, particularly the spacious and spotless Cardamom Suite, offered a cozy retreat with plantation-themed decor and a private veranda perfect for soaking in the lush greenery and birdsong. Jobins, the owner, and caretaker provided exceptional hospitality, tailoring delicious vegetarian meals to our preferences and guiding us on a delightful plantation walk to the watchtower, showcasing cardamom, pepper, and clove cultivation. Jobins dad visited us in the morning and even gave us a Cardomom plant to take home With amenities like free Wi-Fi, a cozy campfire, a treehouse, and proximity to attractions like Ramakkalmedu Viewpoint, this tranquil haven is a must-visit for families and nature lovers seeking an authentic Kerala experience

Marvellous! Initially i booked only for 2 nights but ended up staying one more day extra after visiting this place. This Home Stay has community area in terrace with unique design and beautiful plants. This place has real Vibe! had a great time chatting with fellow travellers on their experience and travel plans. 👌 Afsal, owner of this property was super cool guy and he is great cook too. Absolutely loved the pan cakes and Coffees he made for me. I was really very comfortable here and felt like a home. I will surely visit again to Thekkady only for staying at this place. 😊

Really good value for money, especially for the area. The location was literally perfect for us, around a 5-10 minute walk into the centre but exceptionally quiet around the homestay. Lots of pretty birds as there is a tree farm/forst across the road. Spacious room. Nice family run restaurant next door. The host was really really very kind and made us feel very welcome. She also gave us some great advice :)

We had an amazing stay! The place is beautiful, and the hosts are a pleasure - drove and picked us up from everywhere free of charge, brought us coffee and tea whenever we wanted and were super helpful with booking drivers and tickets for the reserve. Would definitely recommend!
