5 stars for everything Yuki’s Guesthouse was the perfect place to stay for us. It was very relaxing, and the house was convenient and clean. Yuki had renovated his grandmothers house with good taste, it was modern but with tradition. It was nice to sink feet into the onsen water foot bath on the deck after walking around the peaceful surroundings. Yuki gave us also good information about area and was very kind as a host. We enjoyed our visits to the Youyu-an Onsen and Noah’s Coffee House where you can drink coffee grown in the Kirishima area. We could have stayed longer! Greetings from two Finnish ladies

Very comfortable stay! We got the whole cottage to ourselves and it was very spacious. You can tell the owner has put a lot of effort into the cottage by the decorations inside the house and the nice music that he has already put on when you first enter the house. It has all the kitchenware you would need and they are all very clean and tidy. The owner has given us different style of bread for every morning, they are all very tasty too, I think he has definitely tried them before and given us his local favourite. This is definitely one of the most rememberable stay in our trip.

This is very close to the airport (if you have a rental car) and is tucked away in a valley all by itself. We had room 7 facing the forest and we really enjoyed our stay. We found the owner to very friendly and we were able to have some good times there chatting with her. This is a simple husband and wife business and is not high end. The onsen is hot, which is great. There’s only about 10 cabins which is nice. It was very peaceful. We used this as a launch pad to other places and onsens in the kirishima area too.

The host is very kind, helpful, caring and full of good advice and nice spots to visit. I also really enjoyed talking with him at the bar while making a Sochu tasting, he explained me a lot of things about it. I highly recommend you to stay there if you to visit Sakurajima !
