Would rate this a 12/10 if I could. The place has been nicely renovated but still has much of the old charm. The colours used make it modern, vibrant and inviting. Our host was kind and welcoming. And the place offered anything we needed and more (Oshima island is lovely!). The town is easily accessible via public transport and the place is a short 5-7min upward walk away from the busstop of habu port. Apparently the place next door sells oshima brewed ipa's but there were out during our visit.

Good location, close to the beach, though I came seemingly off-season and the city was empty. Very clean and comfortable beds, I have enjoyed my stay.

Calm place in a little port, very good to rest after hiking around. The owner is very nice. There is board games to play, it's a nice touch. You can also cook and there is a fridge, important because there is few restaurants around !
