Such a sweet family. The breakfast was enough for double the amount of people. The room is very clean and has a nice balcony. They also booked us a tuktuk and came with us to the bus station to make sure we get on the right bus safely. We felt so welcome and comfortable.

Our stay at this guesthouse was fantastic! The room was the best we had during our entire trip—super comfortable bed, hot water in the shower, and reliable WiFi. The owners were incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming. They prepared a delicious breakfast and snacks for our early morning safari, which was really thoughtful. We also had an amazing tuk-tuk tour around the lake, where we saw crocodiles, water buffalos, various birds, and thousands of fruit bats—such an incredible experience! On top of that, they added a special touch by decorating our bed beautifully for our honeymoon, which made our stay even more memorable. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Tissamaharama!

We liked the location next to the lake and the huge amount of wildlife we could enjoy watching while sitting on the balcony or in the beautifully kept garden. The host family are extremely welcoming and we felt well looked after with suggestions on things to do and help arranging tuktuks etc. The home cooking was perhaps the best we have had in Sri Lanka and generous in proportion (1 dish will easily serve 2+) and well priced. We enjoyed a local specialty, buffalo curd with treacle see photos), amongst other dishes. The location is a little out of the city but we liked that it was quiet, peaceful and offered the lake view, the room itself is basic but what you need - think of it as glamping and the rustic nature part of the wildlife aesthetic.

Very nice and clean hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. They also served good Sri Lankan breakfast and had food available. When leaving, they drove us to the bus station which was very nice of them. Highly recommend this place.

It is a modest but wonderful accommodation close to Yala National Park. The accommodation is run by a very nice family. Everyone is still smiling and offering sweet tea. Here you feel more like a welcome member of the family than just a guest. The room has everything you need. There is a comfortable bed a fan and a clean bathroom. There is a wonderful quiet sitting area outside with a view of the rice field. Here you can watch the birds feeding. What more could a traveler ask for? At the end of my stay they went with me to the main street and made sure I got on the right bus. Thanks for that! It was great at your place! Thank you for your hospitality and for the perfect chat in the morning with the view from your garden! I really appreciate it. It was great! I wish you many happy guests and good luck with your plans to expand your business with more tables in your restaurant! I keep my fingers crossed for you! Great job! We absolutely loved this place! Thank you so much Sanjeewa for your hospitality. This guest house is super clean and has a lovely view over the rice fields, right near the centre of Tissa. The host is so friendly, helpful and provided so much knowledge. We got a little tour around Tissa which we really appreciated - plus the extra gestures thank you! So thoughtful. He also organised a great safari for us in Yala, and then we came back to a delicious home cooked Sri Lankan lunch! Was fantastic. Thanks so much for a memorable stay, we highly recommend this guesthoust to anyone who needs a place to stay in Tissa.
