Homestays in Agdz

This is something special. If you are bored with big expensive modern hotels and you are on the Morocco trip, try this. You will sleep in the old original earthen castle in so, so state (not collapsing, but not so far from this state, almost everything in this village looks like at the end of life cycle), but with very friendly owner who will prepare full tajine from scratch (not like in the restaurant, here you can wait almost two hours, it was excellent). Sit there, drink tea and relax. Fantastic return in time. Leave Ait Ben Haddou for tourist agencies, here you can sleep in the same buildings without any other tourists and crowds. Lovely place.

Very special setting in amidst of the palms. very calm and the food was amazing (we asked for a vegetarian option other than vegetable tagine and couscous, which they happily arranged)

I would rate this experience more if possible. First of all the village itself was magical, very calm and charming. The place we stayed was beautiful with a gorgeous view at the palmery. All very clean and cosy. Last but not least we had the best welcome ever. Ismael was a fantastic guide who showed us the Kasbah and all historical buildings sharing with very much details historic highlights of the place and much more. His exquisite company made us feel home. I wish we could stay longer. 100% the pic of our trip to Morocco. Thank you for everything!!!

Chez Yacob Tamnougalt, part of the historic Tamnougalt kasbah in Morocco, is an exceptional place that offers a truly unique experience. For those interested in history, there is also an option to take a guided tour of the kasbah, where you can delve into its fascinating past. For our family, this was not just a stay but an immersion into Morocco's heritage. Chez Yacob Tamnougalt is undoubtedly one of the best places we’ve ever visited, and we can’t wait to return.

Lachen, Dominique and their staff are wonderful hosts and their location and setting are both beautiful as is the design of both the buildings and the garden. Parking easy and secure. Food delicious. We would have happily stayed longer but of course were moving on. Thanks for a memorable stay and delicious food.

Very pleasant staff and wonderful hidden gem! We loved the afternoon by the pool and the decoration is truly amazing. I highly recommend it!
