Perfect location. Super close to delicious restaurants and bars on Jalan Abell as well as the free bus to Semonggeh. 15-20 minute walk to the Kuching waterfront. Safe neighborhood. After weeks or travelling, we also loved the oatmeal and peanut butter and fresh fruit at breakfast. Most of all, amazing owners who immediately make you feel at home and help to foster a friendly community atmosphere. Worth every penny for the people you meet and friends you make as long as you’re willing to put yourself out there. We loved Marco Polo and can’t wait to come back!

Staff is very flexible and communication is smooth, this is a legit guest house and is very good value, initial single person room have some toilet issue Staff gave me a free upgrade to a larger room which is much appreciated.

Zack is so friendly and helpful. I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. While it's on the north side of the river from city center, it's very easy to get downtown by Grab or by boat for just a couple of ringgit. I actually like very much how it's a little removed from the centre of action and is very peaceful at night. The common areas are well equipped and it looks like there's even enough to cook a full meal if one wished to do so. The bed in my room was comfortable. I had a great sleep each night. Zack even offers tours (extra $ of course). He brought me out to Semenggoh and a couple of other stops at a reasonable cost. The water pressure in the shower is fantastic and basic toiletries were provided.

The house is located on the other side of the river, which is in a relatively quiet area. Zak and his wife are both very friendly. The room and the kitchen are quite cozy.

I liked everything. This homestay is very clean and has many facilities like a water machine and kitchen. The host is amazing ( hi Zack) and chatted with us and showed us around the place. We loved the cats (hi Sitam, the black cat). This is the place that we will miss most from this trip so far.
