This is an authentic old school Kuching place, very laid back. The breakfast is great, they serve awesome coffee. What makes this place special is that Sam and his wife go out of their way to accommodate you. Sam even arranged a personal guide and driver arranged for a national park that was far away. Lots of inexpensive, good Chinese and Malaysian good in the area. Also a good spot to meet other backpackers, to split tours and friendship of course! I would definitely stay again!

Staff is very flexible and communication is smooth, this is a legit guest house and is very good value, initial single person room have some toilet issue Staff gave me a free upgrade to a larger room which is much appreciated.

The area around the homestay was very clean and peaceful, with a calm village atmosphere that made our stay truly relaxing. The host was extremely friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The house was comfortable, well-maintained, and had all the basic amenities we needed. Wi-Fi connection was stable, and there was ample parking space. It’s also conveniently located near local shops and attractions. Highly recommended for a quiet and pleasant getaway.

The house is located on the other side of the river, which is in a relatively quiet area. Zak and his wife are both very friendly. The room and the kitchen are quite cozy.

In more than two decades of traveling, this was by far my best experience. If I could rate it higher than 10, I would. Needless to say, room was tidy with all amenities, bed comfortable, and neighborhood cool. But what made my stay truly unique, was the host, Zack. He went to such lengths to make sure I enjoyed Sarawak at its best! He introduced me to the local culture, told me about amazing places off the beaten path and traveled there with me, and even came to my rescue a couple of times when I got stranded due to poor public transport. I am so grateful, and looking forward to going back to Kuching!
