Beautiful accommodation in a peaceful location, a lovely beach and sea, and a very kind owner who is always ready to help. I definitely recommend it.

Fig Shades is a great place to relax and a great base to visit Wadi Shab and Wadi Tiwi/Mibam. Mr. Santosh is a very kind and helpful host! He helped me arrange a trip to Wadi Mibam at a great price by Omani standards, which is great because the road to get there is difficult. There are also 3 restaurants nearby (10 min walk) as well as grocery shops (5-10 min walk). The garden is beautiful and the swimming pool is also nice. When you reach the big tree on the side of the road (the one that’s shown on Google street view), keep going a few meters towards the flyover and you’ll find a ‘Fig Shades’ signboard. If you can’t read Arabic, it’s the hotel next to 'Tiwi Omantel Telephone Exchange’ on Google Maps.

Location is perfect. Very close to Wadi Shab.

Practical. In the middle of the city. And 5 min away from Wadi shab You will have little kitten waiting for you 😂

We arrived at the beach house and even though it was open no one was there to get us checked in. After a few phone calls I got through to the owner Sami who apologised and sent his worker straight away, I hadn't rang them beforehand and the worker explained that guests usually arrive around 5ish and we got there at 1, so not really a problem!! The property itself is awesome, with comfortable beds and access to a small pool which my kids loved. There is no access to the beach from the property but you have the full view of the sea from the pool and there is a children's park walking distance away. We stayed only one night as we were visiting Wadi Shab and this was our resting point and for the purpose it was just perfect. Sami rang again once we were settled to ask if everything was ok and his worker also left his number with us in case we needed anything!! Full access to the kitchen is provided which has a gas cooker, pots and pans, basic utensils, a kettle, and a coffee machine with plenty of tea, coffee, and sugar. There is no staff at this property all the time, we enjoyed the privacy!! I left my iWatch at the property and didn't realise until I was back in Muscat, I rang the worker who confirmed the watch was there and then Sami rang me and told me he would drop the watch off to me. True to his word, Sami drove all the way to Muscat and dropped the watch off to me at the hotel U was staying at, legendary guy!! Thank you Sami and thank you to your staff - will definitely be visiting again!!

The villa is amazing, very big rooms with an stunning view. You see the sea from the room. Nice terrace with swimming pool to relax and eat. They even provided take away if you want for dinner or you have a kitchen if you prefer to cook. Access from the terrace straight to the beach. 2 min walking to Wadi Shab. Sami was very helpful and kind. He even help us with our next trip to the mountains. I will definitely come back to this place. Very good value for money.

Here we met greatest hotel service - girl from Morroco in reception was amazing, so helpfull. Place is arranged in style. There is a big common area for all the guests where in the morning You can find some free food (Eggs, bread), tea, coffee, sugar, plates etc. There You can boil these eggs or to fry - there are all equipments You need for that. From this place You can see the sea. Near is good and cheap restaurant. In the evening near the sea we saw the turtle going out of the sea - it was amazing view.
