We absolutely loved our stay! Mercia was a wonderful host and made amazing healthy breakfasts (smoothies with fresh fruits from her garden, muffins…). The location was great - tucked away and quiet but not so much that you can’t easily walk into the town centre and visit the shops and restaurants. Mercia is very helpful and can give you recommendations of what to see and do around the area. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Immaculate rooms in a dreamy setting. The rooms were very large with en-suite bathrooms. Lots of extra little details made it very special. Like your milk in a glass bottle and some port to enjoy in the room. The hosts were super friendly and helpful with local knowledge. The breakfast was also the best I’ve had in a long time. It was different to the usual fare. Interesting and so very tasty.

I really liked that the room was fully self catering: A small electric stove, kettle, microwave, fridge and braai with all the necessary utensils. It has a lovely view of the mountains and its walking distance from the square (200m) and from nearby hiking trails. The room is neat and you feel at home.

Beautiful place with the most amazing gardens. The entire place exceeded our expectations. The level of detail and thoughtful spaces was so impressive. This is a place where the owners didn't skimp on anything. They have everything to make your stay super comfortable. The accommodation is on a livestock farm, so a little tip - take something for flies. There is doom in the rooms, but somehow the flies were persistent. The hosts and staff and their dogs were super hospitable.

    Mercia is a wonderful and lovely host. my booking was on short notice and I arrived late. Nevertheless I had a warm welcome. She always mentioned that her aim is to spoil her guests and she exceeded it. The breakfast served outside was so fresh and homemade. Definitely a 10!
