The location was perfect—quiet, cool, and peaceful, making it a great escape from the city. Plus, the hotel is equipped with Starlink WiFi, which was fast and reliable enough for me to get some work done during the trip. Highly recommended!

They also offer dinner which is quite good and you may ask for lunch as well (Pisang goreng / fried banana was excellent here and coconut which is growing right in front of your villa and dragon fruit behind the fence). We love how the staff treated us, especially the owner, Annie. She was responsive to all our questions. We were very lucky that Kawah Ijen reopened the day of our stay and I first heard the confirmation from Annie. The location is already near from the port so if you will be going to Bali after staying at Bayuwanggi this is a good option. The hostel also arranged the Ijen tour for us. We will surely stay here again if ever we comeback.

The room was clean and comfortable, but there was no fridge (no cold water). Juda brought us daily water and delicious coffee. The breakfast was okay. Fruit, toast with strawberry marmalade and eggs. The garden was wonderful and that’s why we had also some ants in the bathroom and on our balcony.
