I highly recommend staying here for your visit to Petra. They only have a few rooms, so they treat each of their guests like family. I highly recommend the dinner and the lunch boxes. It's about the same price or cheaper than what you find on the streets, but it is so much more convenient and peaceful. It is a short 10-minute walk from the Petra visitor center. Remember to bring JOD. They don't accept credit card, but there is an ATM by the visitor center. We have two kids under 12 and they both ate free! We wanted to start Petra at 6 AM, so they prepared our lunch boxes for us the night before so they'd be waiting for us on our way. This really helped us beat the heat and the crowds. Our family was able to hike all the way to the Treasury and the monastery before it got hot. Pro tip: If you want the dinner (which you do) you should let them know at least a couple of hours before you want it.

At the homestay, all units have bed linen and towels. The room was very clean and comfy, all facilities were kept clean. Petra Wooden House is very conveniently located, just seconds away from the restaurants / shops and a 4min to Petra. Mahmoud was exceptional, he really made us feel at home. Mahmoud was always available on WhatsApp whenever we had a question, he was also very present at the site. Mahmoud provided us with a lunch / breakfast for Petra and the dinner he cooked for the evening was delicious! The view from the rooftop at Petra Wooden House is amazing as well. I would recommend Petra Wooden House to all of my friends and family.

I cannot be more grateful to Mohammad for the great stay I had at his place, which more than a hotel is like feeling at home, very clean, nice and cozy, good Wifi, surrounded by super friendly and helpful people. From the moment I booked, Moha's attention was 100%, he took me everywhere in his vehicle, guided me through incredible routes to Petra, he invited me to experience a Jordanian wedding celebration and we went to see the sunset from where only locals know and I had several very good dinners made by his mother, delightful! The family running the place is very friendly, both the father and son speak good English. The day we visited Petra early in the morning, they pre-prepared our breakfast for us. We also had dinner there one night, which was delicious, and we're invited many times for tea and snacks. Comfortable room, good value for money. Very close to Petra entrance, 2 minutes by car.

They welcomed us with fruits and a juice and the apartment was perfect 😍 I highly recommend this place, specially if you are visiting Petra. Ali gave us convenient tips for our trip and we got to spend some time with his family and friends, sharing our experiences and talking about different cultures. The facilities are great. Also the breakfast SuSu made us was delicious. We are really thankful for this experience

They have prepared on request for us breakfast and dinner home made. Very close to Wadi Ghuweyr hike starting point, 10 minutes by car.

This place and the owner was amazing. It's spacious, comfortable, and beautiful house with everything you need. We felt like it became our second home after the first night. The owner treated us as his own family, spent a lot of time with us and provided with lot of interesting historic facts. We definitely recommend one of his guided tours. Also the place is located in beautiful quiet environment with estonishing view just right next to the Little Petra, from where you can hike to Petra's Monastery in just 2h, or take a shuttle half way. There is also a free shuttle bus from visitor center to Little Petra. This was definitely our best experience in Jordan!!
