Absolutely amazing stay, somewhat modern classic meets japanese style room. The building looks brand new. There is an amazing scent of fresh wood which is the house made of. Room looked traditional, tatami on the floor and futons in the corner of the room for sleeping. Very nice and cozy with breathtaking view from our room. The owners were being incredibly nice and even recommended some restaurants and arranged reservation for us. I can only recommend. We stayed only one night on our Shimanami kaido cycling route but it was a really pleasant experience.

The dorms and facilities were clean, and I had a very comfortable stay here for 3 nights. There was an air humidifier in the dorm to combat the seasonal dry air. I found it easy to reach other sights by walking as well, such as Matsuyama castle and Ishiteji temple.

I was able to purchase a meal there that I cooked myself and also a cold beer~ so convenient not to have to go out again after a long day of walking. My room was comfortable. The other guests were friendly also. Excellent spot!
