Traveling with our 5-month-old, we felt incredibly welcomed. Our room was huge, especially compared to other accommodations in Japan, and the common area downstairs was spacious and inviting. They offered a mini buffet for both breakfast and dinner, which was just perfect for us. The atmosphere was relaxed and laid-back. The guest house is conveniently located halfway between the ferry terminal and the gondola. In the morning, we enjoyed a lovely walk through the park to the gondola and managed to beat the crowds. Highly recommend! They also has two onsen options which you essentially book just for your family.

The place is probably the cleanest hotel in Japan, and that’s saying something. Also, the dining room chairs are so comfortable. Highly recommend.

We had an excellent 3 night stay here! It's a beautiful big traditional Japanese house with the host living in a separate house next door. There are 3 rooms in the house so there is the potential to be sharing with other guests. Toilets, shower rooms and kitchen are shared. Our room was huge with futons, a table, and sliding doors that opened up to a view of the garden. It was lovely to be able to hear the river rushing by right beside the house, and cool to stay in a quiet little neighborhood. The #29 bus is very easy to catch to and from Hiroshima station and it runs super frequently, so it wasn't a problem being slightly out from the city centre. Guest house DEER MIYAJIMA is set in Hatsukaichi and has recently renovated accommodation, a kitchen and quiet street views. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The property is non-smoking and is located 300 metres from Daisho-in Temple. Lovely guest house with 8 separate bedrooms and communal kitchen/bathroom. I was the only one staying there for two nights so it was lovely and quiet. The owner (Yummy I think) was very sweet and accommodating when she popped in and when I saw her on the street at check out. Simple and effective place to stay.
