Takako is an amazing host who made feel very welcomed. The dinner she cooks is so tasty, I was looking forward to it every day. The place is simple and authentic which I liked a lot, and is kept super clean. I also liked the location as it is very calm and 15 minutes walk to a more secluded beach which has nice sunsets. It’s also very convenient that you can directly rent a bike and snorkeling gear, I used that to explore the island and snorkel and several spots.

Kerama bp is a well organised guest house. It is very clean and well maintained. The owner offers free shuttles to the beaches and ferry pickup and drop off. The gh has a great shared kitchen area and nice dorms. There are schedules to follow to get where you want to go but is needed for the diff ferries and location drop offs. You do not need to follow the schedule but then you need to find your own way to the beaches etc.The owner also rents snorkelling equipment and other items at reasonable prices. The owner is great with communication and sends out a detailed email about ferry pickup etc once your booking is confirmed. Will be of great help to you if you read it before arrival.

The twin room is well designed (neutral colors, wood & tatami floor are inviting) w private bath (good flow of hot water in shower). Snorkel gear and beach towel are for rent; Just down the road from our favorite Restaurant Marumiya!! They let us store our luggage and take the snorkel gear & beach towel to Furazamami after checkout, as we were heading back on the afternoon ferry.
