The welcome was exceptionally warm, and you immediately feel at home. The hosts go above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful stay — nothing is too much trouble. They also give great tips about what to do on the island. The bungalows have been recently renovated and are beautifully decorated, with everything you might need. If you’re visiting Koh Rong, I can highly recommend this place!

Rooms include a patio with garden views. The location of the bungalow was great, in easy reach of restaurant and the piers. The best of our stay were the pavilions with available hammocks overlooking the sea and bay in front of the bungalows. Johny was a great help during our stay and welcomed us with a cold drink. He also organised a scooter and an amazing boat tour. A water tank is provided which is very much appreciated.

The units at the homestay are equipped with a seating area. With a private bathroom equipped with a shower and free toiletries, units at the homestay also offer free WiFi. At the homestay, every unit has bed linen and towels. We absolutely loved our time on koh rong sanloem and at Sam’s guesthouse. She was absolutely amazing and helped us with anything we needed. She gave us loads of information about the island, recommended places which were good to eat and any events that were happening and she was always up for a chat. We wanted to stay an extra night as we loved it and she happily accommodated us at a discounted price which was fab! The room was lovely, and perfect for what we needed for a few nights. The rooms do get quite hot obviously but there is a fan. It’s in such a good location too, a couple minute walk to the beach and lots of bars and restaurants around. If you’re thinking of staying on koh rong sanloem I would highly recommend here! The island does experience some power cuts but they didn’t last long at all and weren’t an inconvenience for us, but it’s not any of the hotel/guesthouses fault so don’t blame them for it.

Can’t say anything about breakfast as I left very early.
