The entire family that run this place are about the nicest people you will ever meet. They did above and beyond to help me out, notably finding and then physically hailing mystery bus #10 direct to Elle which saved me 7 hours travel time. Facilities were clean, comfortable and relaxing even though, because I was too cheap to pay for air conditioning, a little hot in the early evenings. I suggest you choose more wisely. They have free bikes, which I was unable to take advantage of but others raved about and the on site food was very good. Bring guitar pics, music, and a few licks for their talented son.

I can't say enough great things about this homestay! They arranged our transfer from Ella and arranged a morning and afternoon safari for us. We were greeted with a delicious cold coconut water, in the coconut. We chose the breakfast and dinner option which makes so much sense because the town is a bit of a walk and after a safari all day (4:30 am to 6:30 pm) it is great to have dinner at the homestay. Both dinners we had were excellent, I think the best food we've had in Sri Lanka! They also pack a breakfast to go on your safari day because of leaving so early. When you wake up they have coffee and bananas for you before leaving. Our room was a great size, ac and hot water worked well. The owners are very kind, friendly and even drove us to the bus stop, stayed with us and made sure we got on the right bus. I highly recommend Tissa Rainbow for your stay while exploring Yala National Park, you won't regret it!

Such a wondeful place to stay. The host is so helpful and friendly. He helped us arrange a safari with a very good guide and took us around to local attractions like birdwatching and batwatching and made getting to and from Tissa easy. Good food and clean room.

Very nice and comfortable place. the staff are very well taken care of and prepare breakfast before an early safari. at the same time, the staff is also invisible, so you feel that the whole villa belongs to you (if there are no other guests). we spent most of our time on the terrace by the pool, meaning in the common area, which was very nice to be around.

All rooms have a balcony with views of the garden. Staying at Lake Face Cabana was the highlight during our trip to Sri Lanka. The atmosphere at the location is peaceful and serene, and the lake view is gorgeous. The cabanas were a perfect fit for the scenery, and have been designed and built by the hosts themselves. They are very skillfully made, and with great taste. Same goes with their garden, which added to the magical experience. The family could as well be professional designers! During our stay we were visited by water birds, squirrels, a monitor lizard and a turtle. We were told there is also a (well-behaving) resident crocodile, who unfortunately had other commitments while we were at the property. :) The main attraction though were our hosts: Gayan, Dilushika (sorry if the spelling is wrong!) and their two adorable girls. What a beautiful, sweet family! As we got to know them a little bit, we became inspired by their kindness, curiosity and thrive. The couple were very considerate and attentive to our needs, and were always available for interesting conversations about life in Sri Lanka. Dilushika's cooking was fantastic, the breakfast especially was delicious and well worth the cost! Oh and be sure to ask for the safaris directly from the accommodation. Gayan's brother runs the best safari outfit in the area, and we had two perfect days in Yala and Bundala. For our next visit to Tissamaharama, there's no other accommodation option than Lake Face Cabana. Couldn't recommend it more! <3

The common area and garden is beyond beautiful and gives you The perfect relaxation and calmness. The breakfast and food was delicious and we could also have Dinner and Lunch in case we wanted to stay in. Our Personal Highlight were The crocodiles in the pond in the garden where the owner woke us up to feed them. They really took care of everything and made us feel at home. We would definetly come back!
