We had a spacious bedroom with private bathroom and a little kitchen where we could cook our own meals, But Shanti Nivas is a lot more than just a place to stay, this is a place where you feel like home. The host, Mr. jay is a one of a kind master host. He does everything to make you feel at home, and soon he became a friend. Don't expect a 5 stars resort by 1/10 of the price you pay for it in Mauritius, but you can certainly expect a 10 times better service. Thanks Jay, you're the man and you have built a quite unique concept in Mauritius by allowing everyone to have the possibility of visit the wonderful Mauritius with a limited budged. I cannot recommend enough your place to anyone who always dreamed to visit Mauritius but couldn't afford the extremely expensive hotels.

The property provides a 24-hour front desk. Way nicer than the price suggests. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The huge balcony was definitely a highlight.

If you come with public bus, the bus stop is only a few minutes walking, also within 30 min you will be in one of the best beach in Mauritius.

Loved the view from top apartment where we stayed. Close location to river mouth. Jean Claude went out of his way to accommodate our early check-in and was always available for any further questions. Pool was a welcoming refreshment.
