Really nice and friendly atmosphere. It’s a great hostel for socializing and having a few drinks but also quiet after midnight which is perfect. There’s also a great pool area and TV room to relax! The staff are also really nice and helpful

the location is great. art gallery, woolworths, night market... all in walking distance. And they even provide shower gel in bathroom. Kitchen is clean. Hooks in the room for you to hang your coat.

The Jack offered excellent service and room facilities. The Hostel is located very central in Cairns and even has its own bar and restaurant. They host many fun events for backpackers to meet at.

YHA Cairns Central is located just 15 minutes' walk from The Esplanade and Trinity Wharf. It features an outdoor swimming pool, 2 spas, and a free Wi-Fi hotspot.

Stayed in Gilligan's before moving over to the yha for my last few days and even though it's not as modern, it's a way nicer vibe. All the rooms are positioned around the courtyard and a couple of eves there were movies being projected onto the wall for a cinema type experience. I'd definitely suggest ending your trip here over one of the party hostels. It was smaller, but still social and it felt way less chaotic.

Massive hostel spread across 4 floors, parties with live acts and DJs every night of the week. Nice bar & a big pool with cabanas, a volleyball net and waterfall. Friendly staff at the bar and reception. Travel store onsite to help with activities. Self service laundry. Dorms have private ensuites, most have a balcony area. Very centrally located, close to shopping, bars, train & ferry terminals. $18 taxi ride to the International Airport.
