I’m 51, usually stay at four star hotels or better. I just wanted a place to crash and took my chances on this, 100 bedroom dorm! Eeek! Thought it would be terrible, but the rules were strict and it was clean and quiet. They even provided earplugs in a container at reception, which I used, but didn’t really need. The breakfast was better than a much more expensive YHA. Staff kindly helped me with confusion around booking the wrong place.

Clean facilities and nice outdoor seating & pool. Hostel kitchen can get really busy and there is only one sink, one microwave & two stoves so plan the times you eat carefully to avoid the busy period. Really good location and only about a 5-10 minute walk from the center of surfers paradise & beach. Public transport is also really easily available and we used this to go to movie world and sea world which I also recommend.
